The Beach

This cache is hidden in a wonderful reserve called Kogelberg Nature reserve. The trail follows the Palmiet river up towards its source. The terain is relativly flat and there are a few very nice swimming spots. The Beach is one such spot and is the reason for this cache. The Trail is well maintained. The fynbos along the trail and the views of the river  along the trail are quite spectacular. Please note that the water level of the river will affect the Terrain rating and the current rating reflects the level when the cache was placed. Please note that there is no cell reception all along the trail.

The gates open at 7:30 and the permit (R40 for adults and R20 for children -free for wilds card holders)is obtainable at the office. The route to the cache is about 4 km , but there is no serious elevation.
