Not at the middle END Traditional Cache

KCSearcher: Out on a 3-hour, 52-minute, 72.9-mile (0.2 of that on foot) run to maintain 5 caches. For the maintenance, 3 could not be located while 2 were still there, and 2 were archived. My geowidow and I had just finished a mid-morning breakfast at one of our favorite Restaurants, “Min's Kitchen”. She said she would like to “drive around”, so we did. First stop was the massive construction going on out in Oakley for the Amazon Fulfillment Center, then we headed to checkout some mid-range caches.

Checked on this one at 12:16 PM. Not to be found here. Housing development construction has compromised the hide area so it’s game over for this one. ARCHIVE TIME

Geocache Description:


This is 1 of 6 caches that were given away as FTF prizes at the “6th Annual: Smores & Hot Diggity” event. For those attendees that received this as a prize, they have at least a 2 day head start on those that didn’t attend the event. The prize winners were instructed to sign the log in the “Pre-Publication FTFer(s)” space (not available on the nanos).

However, for you FTF Hounds that were not able to attend, you too can be FTF on this cache. All you need to do is find the cache and be first to sign in the “Post-Publication FTFer(s)” space on the log. As an FTF Hound myself, I sometimes find it discouraging to see a cache published thinking I have a chance at the FTF only to find out later that it was given away as a prize at an event. I actually think it’s fine to give an FTF opportunity prize away. However, it would be nice for those that didn’t attend to also get an FTF chance. So, in that spirit, and as the Cache Owner, I am allowing FTF’s to also go to those that did not attend.

Why here? I looked for available gaps less than 5 miles of the event that conformed to the guidelines for listing a cache.
