This puzzle cache is the latest in a series of themed puzzles in the area and has been created after having fun solving some of the Famous Berkshire Residents series. The cache is not at the posted co-ordinates, so it's not necessary to go there, (though there is a relevant connection, which I'll get to shortly.) Solve the puzzle below to find out the location of the final cache.
Many thanks goes to Mellers for the series :)
Identify this famous Hampshire resident.
* Person X was an Aries, born in the county (though if born today, would be an Aries not born in the county.)
* Person X had a British mother and a father from a different European country.
* Person X was 'School Captain' (equivalent to today's Head Boy/Girl) at the historic secondary school where the given coordinates are located. They went to primary school close to where the final cache is located.
* Person X went on to study at university in the same city, before dropping out after one year and becoming increasingly politicised.
* Person X was married once, to a person whose name is nowadays more associated with the other sex. They had one child together, a daughter.
* Person X became important at a time when the FOUR letters rivalled the 3 letters.
* Person X read reports, wrote reports, and reported on reports.
* Person X retired twice aged 60, and only drew on one of the pensions that were available.
* The world really got to say 'Hola' to Person X six years before Person X said 'Adios' to the world.
Once you've identified who this is, check the usual sources for their dates of birth and death in the following format:
D.O.B. dd/mm/yy = AB/CD/EF
D.O.D. dd/mm/yy = GH/JK/LM
You'll find the cache at N 50° 55.(G/J+B) (A+F+H) (B*E), W1 19. (K+E)(D+F)(M*H-F)
Checksum is 36. Good luck!
