Geocache Description:

- - = Congratulations to "toughtread & w01f" on being FTF! = - -

My plan was to hide a cache near here but found out there was a cache in that location already. So, I hit the trails and peaks to find this little area that was clear of any cache hides nearby. When you park at the most obvious location, make sure you have a forestry parking pass. After placing this cache and when I was able to see Heep again, there was another vehicle parked there as well. Turned out it was a forestry ranger checking my pass. Yes, I had it in place and the ranger told me that he saw me coming back and just waited for me. He wanted to know if I was a train enthusiast and taking pictures. Nope, better than that. Geocaching. So make sure you put up your forestry pass because they do check it way out there.

Access to this cache really isn't for the everyday driver without the very least of some high clearance. Four wheel drive is surely a plus. But again, I have seen street cars in some of the worst spots and wondered how in the heck they were able to drive there. I also found out, I personally did not have cell coverage in these hills. Be careful because it's a long walk out but doable. JOK can attest to the fact that these hills aren't really attackable with street vehicles. He was my first rescue with my old Heep. I had a ball doing the rescue but not so good for JOK.

This cache requires to do a little hiking (0.21 miles each way) and there are perilous locations that you could fall off the cliff to your demise. All dependent on the path you take to GZ. Not a good idea to take on this cache at night time for this reason. But it can be done at night if you are really careful with plenty of lighting. Also advise to take a friend with you if you do this one at night. You will find this cache placed in a SPOR and I would hope you would replace it so that it is not showing any of the container.

At the time this cache was placed, it is cooled down weather wise but later on in the summer time, this location is home for those slithering critters. One has to be aware of the possibility of snakes here. Please be careful of snakes at all times. I also noticed some turtle holes so be careful of not stepping in one of these holes.

You will need to bring your own writing utensil to sign the log. The cache container will need you to use the ‘Lefty Loosey, Righty Tighty’ technique to open and close.  And please, reseal the baggie for the log since it will get condensation within and the log will get wet. Thank you for resealing. It only takes a few seconds of your time to do the right thing.
