Geocache Description:

This cache is near the boat launch on the Nechako River. This section of the river is also known as the spawning site for the Nechako River White Sturgeon. Sockeye salmon are also in the system on their spawning run, and can be often be seen splashing and jumping in this section of the river, in September. It's a short distance from the sturgeon hatchery, a facility designed and built to enhance the sturgeon population in the river. Tours of the hatchery take place in the spring and summer months. A very worthwhile experience!

Call the Nechako River White Sturgeon Conservation Center @ 250 567 6673 for dates and times.

This cache is a quick park and grab. Easily accessible in the snow-free months. It's also located on the trail system, a short walk from the Riverside Park Campground. The trail is usually plowed free of snow in the winter months.

This cache is a very small camouflaged container. It contains a log, 'tweezers' and pencil.
