This cache is the final location of an Intercache I had here, but the technology seemed too inconsistent and this is a really nice park and, I think, it's a really nice hiding spot. The "container" is small, but the log is really small and you might need tweezers to remove. At ground zero there is really only one "thing" where the cache could be, so check that "thing" over carefully. I have used some natural camouflage so you probably won't "see" it. Just gently touch around for it.
There are several posts full of interesting historic information about the town and the park and even a historical marker. The whole park used to be a graveyard and many of the people buried there have unmarked graves. You won't find this information in the park, but since this is my hometown, I was told growing up that the mound is a mass grave from a cholora epidemic. You'll be standing on it to look at one of the historical markers. We used to have an old locomotive and a windmill in this park, but the city got rid of those quite a few years ago. My Uncle used to teach at the elementary school next to the park. I still think those fire escapes look like fun slides. All in all, I have fond memories of visiting this park often during my lifetime and I hope you enjoy it, too.
