Welcome to the Abandoned Mansion of Maitland Street. Over the years this house—unoccupied, uncared for, and unloved—has steadily succumbed to the ravages of time. The front yard is mostly used for the relief of neighbourhood dogs, and the cracking white facade and boarded windows of the building has been the occasional target of graffiti taggers.
I find it peculiar considering the location and faded splendour of the house. It's a window into Toronto's past and has the potential to be a lovely property. But until it's restored, or gives way to the unstoppable machine that is downtown Toronto residential development, we can use it as a spot for a nano cache!
This area is very busy at all times, so please exercise maximum stealth.
