“The Maze” is the first track on Manchester Orchestra’s 2017 album A Black Mile to the Surface. Lyrically, it revolves around lead singer Andy Hull’s baby daughter Mayzie, and his fatherhood.
The song is split into two halves, with the first three verses being Mayzie speaking to Andy, and the second three Andy speaking to her.
