Only 60m from GZ is the multi-award-winning Canberra home ‘Girasole’, the widest rotating home in the world, which uses power harnessed from the sun to literally rotate on the spot. Using a touch-screen panel it takes around 10 minutes for the 56-tonne home to do a full transformation, which can be set to run automatically to follow the sun. Operating on two speeds (both of which are quite slow) the home can be set to follow the sun so that, depending on the season, the house can remain cool in summer and warm in winter. It takes advantage of the warmth the sun brings in winter or avoids it in the cool shade of summer. For anyone that can’t get their head around what it’s like being inside a spinning home, you’re not alone. “It’s like being on a ship, slowly moving around,or a merry go round.”
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home has virtually no energy or water bills thanks to the 24 solar panels and the 120,000L water tank, which creates its own drinking water.
The cache is a micro not near the house .It it well hidden and stealth will be required. The rotating house is the one on the bend/corner upwards 60m from GZ. There is a path going around the house .Take your time to have a close look from the path at the lower spinning system.Enjoy the cache.
