Berglisee
Der Berglisee ist ein kleiner, aber wunderschöner Gebirgssee in der Nähe von Ischgl. Er ist speziell wegen seiner außergewöhnlichen Farbe, der Landschaft und seiner Lage ein beliebtes Wanderziel. Unmittelbar hinter dem See stemmen sich die steilen Wände des Berglerkopfs (2903m) in die Höhe.
Einheimische sowie Touristen kommen gerne zu diesem schönen Plätzchen um die Ruhe und die Aussicht zu genießen. Bei schönem Wetter kann man hier mehrere Stunden verbringen und die Feuerstellen in der Nähe laden zum Grillen ein.
So kommt man hin:
Optimaler Ausgangspunkt ist der Wildpark in Mathon, zu dem man sowohl mit dem Bus als auch mit dem Auto gelangen kann. Gleich unter dem Wildpark überquert man über eine Brücke die Trisanna und folgt dem Bach ein kurzes Stück talauswärts. Vor einer Brücke führt rechterhand eine Straße hinauf, die zunächst auf einer kleinen Straße vorbei am Haus Neder und dann auf einem Feldweg in den Wald führt. Bei einem der Wegweiser (innerers Bergli/Berglisee) kann man sich zwischen zwei Möglichkeiten entscheiden. Entweder man wählt die gemütlichere Variante über die Forststraße oder man entscheidet sich für die anstrengendere, aber kürzere Variante über den Steig durch den Wald. Beide Wege treffen kurz vorm See wieder zusammen.
Beim Retourweg gibt es auch wieder mehere Möglichkeiten:
- Man nimmt den selben Weg zurück nach Mathon.
- Man verlängert seine Wanderung mit dem Rundweg durch das Lareintal zur Lareinalpe (während der Sommersaison bewirtschaftet)
Für die komplette Tour braucht man ca. 4:15 und legt dabei ca. 12km und 786hm zurück
Für Sportliche gibt es außerdem die Möglichkeit weiter auf den Hausberg von Ischgl den Rauhen Kopf (2478m) aufzusteigen. Bei dieser schweißtreibenden Tour wird man mit einer herrlichen Aussicht über das Tal und das Skigebiet Ischgl belohnt.
Egal für welche Variante man sich entscheidet gutes Schuhwerk sowie ausreichend Proviant sind Voraussetzung!! Zusätzlich sollte man die richtige Jahreszeit wählen (im Winter ist der Weg gesperrt) und einen Blick auf das Wetter werfen.

Die kleine Aludose liegt ein paar Meter hinter dem See bei beim zweiten der großen Bäume. (Siehe Spoilerfoto)
Neben dem Logbuch und einem Stift ist Platz für einige kleine Tauschgegenstände.

Berglisee is a nice little lake in the mountains close to Ischgl. It is famous for the special colour, for its landscape and the location next to the impressively high mountains.
Locals and tourists love to hike to the lake to enjoy the magnificant view, the tranquillity and the possibility to use the fireplaces next to the lake.
How to get there?
Best way to start your tour is the "Wildpark" in Mathon. You can easily get there by bus or by car. Right next to the Wildpark you can cross the river over the bridge and follow the creek for a little while heading to Ischgl. Keep following the small road which passes "Haus Neder" and leads you into the wood. There will be a point (Inneres Bergli/Berglisee) where you have to decide if you keep following the easier dirtroad or the shorter but more strenuous trailhead through the forest. Both versions lead you to the same point just before you reach the lake.
For your way back there are two different options:
- The same way back to Mathon.
- You extend your hike and make a roundtrip to the "Lareinalpe" where special tyrolean food is offered during the summer season. The whole tour will take you about 4 hours and 15 minutes, 12 kilometers and 785 meters of elevation
From here you also have the option to continue your hike up to the "Rauher Kopf" (2478m). It is a strenuous hike for athletic people only, but if you reach the top of the mountain you will be amazed by the view over the valley and the ski area.
Either way you will defenitly need hiking shoes and enough supplies! Also check the weather and the season because the way will be closed during the winter.
