Cache placed for the 2018 KNC Geocaching Extravaganza, Fall Edition! The KNC offers a beautiful natural setting to explore, nearly 12 miles on 16 different trails of various terrain, and chances to encounter wildlife! There is an admission fee to hike the trails. April through October the trails are open 9am to dusk. November-March the trails are open from 9am-6pm. More details are available at http://www.naturecenter.org/ to help plan your visit!
The Phoenix isn't a bird you'll see in Michigan, but is a mythological bird that rises from the ashes of its predecessor, sometimes in a show of flames! When you see GZ, you'll understand why this hiding spot reminded us of a Phoenix.
This hide is a good sized camo container -- you'll have a hard time missing it, please replace as found with all of its natural cover.
As always, it's up to you whether or not to pursue finding and signing the log on a particular geocache -- please know that you choose to find each of these geocaches, and do so at your own risk.
