The Hong Kong Government set up an industrial village in 1974 and built the first industrial village in Hong Kong opposite Ting Kok Road, Tai Po. It was officially opened in 1978.
The Tai Po Industrial Estate Bus Terminus did not appear immediately after the opening of Tai Po Industrial Estate. It will not be commissioned until November 22, 1982, November 19, 1982. At present, the Kowloon Motor Bus Route 72A and the Kowloon Motor Bus Route 73 still use Tai Po Industrial Estate as the terminus and two bus routes which only operate during peak hours on weekdays. In addition, the New Territories GMB (minibus) route no. 26 passes through Dagui Street and Dachang Street.
