Geocache Description:

No, the cache is not at the posted coordinates and watercraft is not helpful to finding the cache. This is an offset cache. You can solve by completing the puzzle steps. Start near the flagpole at the memorial plaque for Mr. Snell, a supporter of the creation of the park from a brownfield. Use your GPSr to project to the final cache coordinates by adjusting this waypoint - adjust both bearing and distance (in feet.

PUZZLE:
For all the puzzle numbers, count the letters in the words on the plaque as follows:

Bearing - 1st digit - The second word in the 4th line
Bearing - 2nd digit - The third word in the 1st line

Distance - 1st digit - Mr. Snell's title (4th line)
Distance - 2nd digit - how many years (6th line)
Distance - 3rd digit - all the letters in the 3rd line

Check sum for all 5 digits = 17

These adjusted coordinates will take you to the hidden cache. The photos give you verification that you are in the right spot.

Or, if you don't want to do the puzzle, find the red buoy in the water. Then, find the place that these pictures were taken and you will find the micro cache container. It is about 500 feet from the posted coordinates. On Dec 3, 2022, we added another photo to the gallery which might help you.

Please use stealth while searching. If you see muggles using the walking path, take a photo, tie your shoelaces or check your text messages.
Bring your own pen/pencil. You must sign the logsheet to log this as Found.

The park is open 8 am to sunset. Fees for Delaware Parks are in effect March 1 through November 30. The daily fee is $4 in state and $8 out-of-state license plates or annual passes are available. Payment kiosks at the entrance take cards.
