Geocache Description:

Our previous Christmas themes have been “11.12.13” (Cronulla), “Always Rushin" (Engadine), “All about time” (Miranda), "Spread the Cheer" (Shelly Beach) and “Meet new friends” (Menai). This year it's "Time to slow down" (Kurnell).

2016 Group photo shown.

It’s very simple. We all have activities, parties and functions to be a part of around the end of the year and this Meet and Greet is another chance to make new friends and catch up with others we know. This event has been set for Friday night to allow those who work on weekends to join in. It is also between other functions that many may be involved with.

This location is a bit out of the way if using Public transport (check train to Cronulla and bus to Kurnell) but it is hoped that many of the new cachers’ in the Shire and visitors to the area will come along and may even get the information needed to join the online group. The location is changed from year to year to allow you to experience different areas around the Shire and it is hoped that the selected hours allow all who wish to attend the chance to sign the log during daylight hours. You don’t have to arrive at the start or stay to the end. You can get there early or leave later if you wish. We hope to see you there!

Hope you can attend. This event (“Meet new friends” Sutherland Shire Cachers' Christmas Meet & greet") is a great opportunity to put faces to the names you regularly see on random pieces of paper and to reconnect with cachers’ that you’ve already met.

Thanks to Nana Nel for creating this group page that we can all share. If anyone wants to plan an event using this group page to build a record showing the local history of Events in the Sutherland Shire, just send her a message and she will get all the instructions to you.

The Log Book is growing with stories of past events and by looking back through it, you start to develop an understanding of the history of Geocaching in the Sutherland Shire.
