This set of caches takes you into a lovely quiet nature reserve with some lovely views and woodland trails. We believe the area is managed by The Nature Conservation Unit. In order to protect the wildlife and birds, there are numerous tracks in the forest where access for vehicles is restricted. We have therefore placed our caches along the main routes used by maintenance vehicles, these being accessible by car in dry conditions.
This cache is located about 400m away from the ideal viewpoint. The reason for this is that the viewpoint is a Fire Lookout Station that is manned during daylight hours throughout the summer months. Obviously, a lot of cachers scrambling about close to the hut would arouse suspicion. Our cache location cannot been seen from the lookout and we would recommend that you find and log the cache and then make your way to the lookout point and enjoy the view.
Although this part of the Park can be exited by a number of routes, please be aware that the closest exit leads directly onto the motorway slip road leading to Larnaca (N34 58.952 E033 30.989) There is no sign at this point to indicate that the slip road is a one way road. Please do not turn right at this point
