If the films are not showing when you visit why not try your hand at Geocaching! Their titles might come in handy if you are stuck.

The walk will take you around the recently regrassed Further Vista, through Engine Wood (which is a mass of bluebells in season). It is not really suitable for cycles, although they are allowed. Buggies and strollers should only be used if you can push on grass /indistinct footpaths and be able to lift it over a stile. It is not suitable for mobility scooters or wheelchairs. All caches have been double averaged but, as anyone who has placed caches knows, tree cover and atmospheric conditions can affect accuracy. If you find you do not agree with my coords by all means put your reading in your log.

The Vista, up to a few years ago had been cereal fields. The National Trust has reseeded it with grass and wildflowers. To ensure it returns into a natural wildflower meadow cattle will graze it a certain times of year; they are used to people but normal precautions should be taken.

It is easy walking, 4.1 Km with an elevation change of only 50 metres. Without searching it takes about an hour and a quarter. Each cache page will give you a walk-through to the next. A full walk-through, and all the questions are added at the end of this page; you might like to copy it into Word and print it. I have included a matrix for you to enter the info. I have added a couple of waypoints. There is no need to climb any fences; there is always a gate or stile to give access.

Do not cache after dark as you might be mistaken for a poacher. The carpark closes at dusk.

There is plenty of parking, which is free to National Trust members, otherwise £4.00. Entrance to the parkland is free. Regular public transport stops outside the gates.

There are toilets, baby change, water and refreshments available in the stable block, a short walk from the car park.

The caches have been placed with the knowledge and enthusiastic permission of the National Trust. Please treat this lovely area with respect, leave no litter. If muggles are about, act with stealth; if NT staff are around don't hesitate to tell them what you are up to.

There is a bonus cache; you need to collect information as you walk the route. The information, for the most part, is NOT in the cache itself.

After you park head for GZ where you will see a notice board which will give the information to find #1. Look at the map and gather the numbers. Only look at the map, ignore the key/legend information. Once you have crunched the numbers walk down to first cache.
