Geocache Description:

This is an off set Letterbox Hybride Cache and the final location is not at the Headline Co-ord, but is a short walk away.

Please note This cache has been placed with the knowledge of the Forestry Commission and in accordance with the New Forest Forestry Commission Permission Agreement . GAGB Agreement for the Forestry Commission New Forest and East Dorset.
N.B. as part of this agreement it is not permitted to seek this cache during the hours of darkness
Please do not leave any edible items

The cache is a 450ml clip and close plastic container. Inside there is a stamp which should not removed from cache. If you collect imprints of Letterbox Hybride stamps you will need an ink pad or felt tip pen

(Start Point) Looking at the pole next to the post box. The two digit "DP" number = A B.
Then looking at the engraved data the digit preceeding "M" = C.
Use A B C in the formula to calculate the co-ords for the 2nd (S2) waypoint.

(Waypoint 1) {Refrence point/Trailhead}. From headline co-ords head Easterly across lawn and then along gravel track to junction at N 50 49.600 W 001 40.090

(Waypoint 2) From Waypoint 1 turn right along track to N 50 49.(A-1)BC W 001 40.(B-2)(C-1)B
(Check sum for all digits = 49).
Once at Waypoint 2 use the final cache location details below.

Cache location From the slim oak at the left hand side of the track at Waypoint 2 turn sharp left into the trees in an E.S.E direction (107 degrees) for 21 paces to the L.H.S of another slim oak . Continue 21 paces more to cache in far side of a Holly tree on edge of clearing.

As an alternative to paces :- From slim oak by path at Waypoint 2 the cache is 37 to 40 metres away on a compass bearing of 107 degrees..Tree cover meant poor g.p.s accuracy so paces are probaly more useful for distance . '

This is one of many in a national series of "Post code" caches.
