A cache series highlighting the art of Tacoma.
This beloved statue by Larry Anderson was placed in Wright Park in 1976 and is a favorite of many. Larry Anderson described the piece as "An old man and a young girl sharing a moment of discovery over a leaf the girl has found. The very young and old share certain qualities of life that transcend art. Wright Park is such a place where these two generations meet." The renovation of Wright Park was completed several years ago and it has been restored to its former glory. It is a true gem.
This cache is the replacement of one we archived in 2010 and with the death of Larry Anderson on October 18, it seemed like a fitting tribute to bring it back.
