Just a quick and simple trad to celebrate our 1 year anniversary since finding our first cache, which was found nearby.
This cache is placed a short stroll into the Truganina Swamp Flood Retarding Basin. Whilst there is elements of human destruction here, there is also a variety of birdlife, and even bunny rabbits. I spotted a few whilst placing the cache as well as a couple of herons and various other birds I could hear but not identify. Then just as you're taking in the serenity, along comes a train.... the walking track that goes along behind the reserve is a nice place for a stroll though, and used to be home to some of my earliest finds.
Since I'm a numbers junkie, here's a few key stats from our first year for anyone thats still reading at this point! Who wouldve known that 12 months ago it would have come to this point.
