Szarvaskő egy kis falu, Egertől 11 km-re, Szilvásváradtól 17 km távolságra fekszik.

A kilátót 2004-ben nyitották meg a Major-tetőn, miután a Vodafone Magyarország Kft-vel sikerült megegyeznie a községnek, hogy az adótorony mellé egy fából készült kilátót építsen. A toronyból gyönyörű körpanorámát láthatunk a Bükki Nemzeti Parkra és Egerre is. Érdemes meglátogatni.

Elképzelhető, hogy a logbook tele van? Nincs nálad toll vagy a bélyegződ? Nincs hová írnod a geocaching neved? Semmi gond. Kérlek add meg a ládában talált vagy a helyszínen felfedezett kódot és máris érvényes a találatod. Amennyiben sikerül, már logolhatod is találatod a geocaching.com oldalon.

Szarvaskő is a small village, it’s located 11km from Eger and 17km from Szilvásvárad.

The viewpoint opened in 2004 on Major-peak, after the village can discussed with Vodafone Magyarország Kft, they should build a viewpoint (made of wood) near the transmission tower too.

From the tower we can see a beautiful panoramaview to the National Park of Bükk and to the city of Eger.
