Geocache Description:

HELLO THERE!

Please park at Parking coordinates, this is where the trailhead is and where I know we are allowed to park, and where it will be winter accessible.

Ever since we (my two kiddos 7 & 9 and myself) found Geocaching a couple of months back we have been at it every weekend since. It has completely taken over our lives and we absolutely LOVE it. With that said we are so excited to share our first Cache! After finding our 25th cache we decided it was our turn to hide one!

We wanted to hide it here because growing up this was one of my favorite places to hike, with the gorgeous falls just off the path and all the wooded area this always made for a fun day out. Now being a dad, I bring my kiddos here all the time, and we all agreed that this would be the perfect spot for our first cache. I encourage everyone to stop along the way and check out the falls, there is even a set of stairs that will lead you to the top of the falls. PLEASE do not go to close to the edge, there are markers to make sure you are safe.

The cache is an official Large Geocache Ammo Crate, and there are lots of goodies in it. The location of the cache is a little difficult to get to, I would highly recommend waterproof boots as there is a small part of the river that needs to be crossed when placing it I did not get wet but depending on the route you take, there is a possibility of getting wet. Also, after the snowmelt, and when there is overflow from the dam up the road this cache may be inaccessible, other than that it should be accessible the rest of the year. There is a F2F Geocoin for the First person to find it, and there is also a prize for 2nd and 3rd to find. Please trade fairly for everything else in the cache.

HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THIS HIDDEN GEM IN UPSTATE NY
