Why did I choose "JeffGamer" as my pseudonym, you ask? Â Because, since 6th grade, I've been a video game collector, of course! Â From around 1978 through 2012, I was collecting games for dozens of systems. Â While the more modern systems are obviously far more sophisticated, for me, there's nothing like the Classics -- Colecovision, Intellivision, Odyssey, Vectrex, Bally Astrocade, Microvision...even Pong...ahhhhh, the memories! Â And the one that started it all for me was the Atari. Â They released a lot of Atari systems -- the 5200, the 7800, the Lynx, the Jaguar, the 400, the 800 -- though nothing beat the Atari 2600!
This geocache pays tribute to the Classic Games...heck, add a zero and the west coordinates even match an Atari system; subtract 4 and the north coordinates do the same! Â Before you grab the cache, go check out the nearby store front at the coordinates in the "additional waypoints"...you'll not only find a cool place to visit (owned by someone who has one of the largest collections of classic and modern arcade games and pinball machines in the world) but you'll ALSO find a clue -- a PICTURE -- of what you're seeking! Â Then head on down the street and try your luck in this real-world Jungle Hunt! Â Just watch out for the Pitfalls surrounding you...!
