Bidder's Bank Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Commonsiders: Having kept an eye on the water level here over the past couple of months after the cache went missing in July after heavy rain I'm not convinced the same thing wont happen again. Unfortunately, there isn't another good hide nearby so I'm archiving this one.

Geocache Description:

The Geocache is located near Bidder's Pond at the Eastern end of Mitcham Common, north of the A236.  With an area covering four hundred and sixty acres of land, Mitcham Common stretches across the borough boundaries of Merton, Croydon, and Sutton. It is an important conservation area that's part of the Wandle Valley Park.

The area around Bidder's Pond is very hilly, but as with One Island, it is not natural. Between the 1940s-1960s, the area was used as a landfill site, creating lots of uneven mounds.
