Geocache Description:


We enjoyed a holiday in Dorset earlier this year and were able to find a handful of 'Little Bridges' caches during our stay. While walking along this path, we thought that this tucked-away bridge would make an addition to the series, in a county where such caches are a little thin on the ground.

Of fairly recent wooden construction, the bridge crosses a drainage ditch, which runs from West to East through the village. This may be noticed alongside Trundle Lane, where the front entrance to a number of properties is via a crossing over the deep ditch. The land here is very low-lying, being just a few metres above sea level.

The bridge can be reached via paths from Pinfold Lane (look out for the Public Footpath signs). The pathway can also be accessed from the churchyard by entering via the stone stile, or gate at the junction of Church Street and Church Lane and walking around to the pedestrian gate at the North-Eastern corner.
Note that the cache is not located on the bridge itself.
