Not far southwest of this spot is said to be the location of the fabled Devil's Punch Bowl, a historic freshwater spring from Miami's earliest days. According to legend, the Devil's Punch Bowl is a "bowl shape" spring about "four to five feet deep and three feet in diameter" (Source: http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/spec/ingraham/expedition/PunchBowl.htm). Unfortunately, the location of the spring is in private property. However, this cache is hidden in Alice Wainwright Park, which is just about the closest publicly accessible area to the spring. Come enjoy a nice morning or afternoon stroll through this park and take a moment to imagine what life may have been like for the early Miami pioneers and the Native Americans who were here long before them.
The cache is a nano with log only. Bring your own pen or pencil. There can be very high mugglocity (in fact, it took me several visits before I was even able to access the cache's hiding spot), so use extreme stealth. Please observe park hours and replace cache as found.
