This is NOT a park and grab, and you should plan to bring some cache to swap (if possible). This cache is in honor of my dad, who we lost in June 2018 (sadly to suicide). I found this camo container in his garage shortly thereafter. Many years ago, my dad worked for the CIA, so I think he would have LOVED geocaching. So to honor my dad, I've placed in the camo happy things that remind me of him: toy trains (he was a collector), an iTunes gift card (because he loved music -- which he passed on to me!), a slinky (he loved them!), and several other small collectables. My dad was also a Veteran of the US Navy, so I've included a Travel Bug Dog Tag (reminiscent of military dog tags) to take on someone's next journey.
My hope/goal for this cache is for others to sit for a minute and remember why we love this hobby: for the joy of the hunt, for the joy of being outdoors, for the joy of the adventure either solo or with friends. So take some happy and leave something that epitomizes happy for you. I live closeby so I will replenish the happy swag from time to time as needed. Happy swapping!
