Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches that will take you on a journey from Hermanus's historic Old Harbour to the New Harbour.

We suggest that you start with Tricky Vickey & Mickey's multicache 'The great escape' GCQWTW which has been there since 2005! (That is for over a decade!) The first cache of this series is placed opposite what the locals refer to as 'the boiling pot', a small offshore island of rugged rocks around which, in rough seas, the water churns as if boiling. When you have reached GZ from the c-shaped bench face the boiling pot. Look for the reddish rock formation on the left. Between these rocks and the aromatic little Wild Buchu shrubs, there are a few slight overhangs. Your smile awaits.
