I remember back in the day, a local radio station would have a promotional event during October, and they called it Rocktober. All sorts of contests and give aways occured during this time. One particular year, it was a contest to see which high school could get the most signatures to win a concert from the Queen City Kids. It came down to Tec Voc and Kelvin high school. Kelvin won the concert which occured during an afternoon. I successfully managed to get in to see that concert, even though I had never set foot in Kelvin high school, ever. Once inside the school, I had to purchase a ticket from a pair of girls. One asked if I went to that school. The other claimed to have seen me in the halls all the time. They took my two dollars and I was in.
