It was 10 years ago today that I found my first geocache! I was on a cruise from California to Florida and a couple at my dining table invited me to go with them to find a geocache in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They let me hold the GPSr while we navigated the streets until we found the cache. I was amazed that this hand-held device guided me to a specific point where there was a box to be found. I was hooked!
This is an informal gathering for geocachers of all ages to just meet up and talk about geocaching or to meet other geocachers. Everyone is welcome whether they're new to geocaching or have been at it for several years. Please bring geocoins and travel bugs for retrieval or discovery. Trackable apparel is encouraged as well.
The location is at a neighborhood park in Northwest Roseville. We will meet at one of the picnic tables near the street. In case of inclement weather we'll meet under a covered area 100' to the north. The park has restrooms and is wheelchair accessible. The event will happen rain or shine.
