Geocache Description:

Many years ago, when I was much younger, armadillos were unheard-of in these parts; we were told those strange creatures lived out in Texas, or some such foreign place.  By the time I was an adult, they had migrated east, and now they are a number one pest in Southeast Georgia.  They dig holes in our yards searching for grubs, and sometimes the holes seem large enough to fall into.  That is the case in this wooded area, where they have gone crazy digging holes all over the place, sometimes for snakes to use as a hideaway in winter.  I stepped into one such hole while hiding this one, which gave me the idea for naming the cache.  You can pull off the road near here onto a wide, firm grassy shoulder.  But going into the woods for this find, please be very careful where you step, and watch out for snakes, particularly.  The vegetation is thick, and as noted, the holes are not easy to find because of that.  Also, snakes and other creatures inhabit these woods, so caution is in order.  I hid this one not too far into the woods line to try to protect you from injury, but be alert here!
