The Amazing Places GeoTour (GT8F) will send you on an inspiring adventure to the region's most beautiful natural places. Get your Amazing Places GeoTour Field Guide, downloadable for free from the Amazing Places website here or purchase one at the Parksville Chamber of Commerce or Tigh-Nah-Mara Resort Gift Shop during open hours.
Use the guide to complete the Cache Code Collection Page, including a unique coin rubbing at each of the 8 physical geocache sites to prove your find, and answer the geoclue by finding each of the 10 Amazing Places interpretive signs at each site. Redeem your completed Cache Code Collection Page for a customized Amazing Places GeoTour Geocoin (while supplies lasts).
The southernmost Amazing Place designated in the region, Notch Hill provides incredible views of the land and surrounding waters and is home to the impressive yet endangered Garry oak ecosystem. At a climb of about 240 metres (30min) to the summit, the round trip is about 3km.
