At the above location you will find a 75mm Pack Howitzer M1A1 field artillery gun. There are 4 lines of characters stamped on the back end of the gun, the third of which is:
"GENERAL ELEC. CO. NO. ABCD".
The last line is "19EF - 121LBS. INSP.- H.M.R."
Now for the math...
ABCD - 833 = UVW
625 + EF = XYZ
checksum: U+V+W+X+Y+Z=34
Now, plug those values into the template below to determine the next set of coordinates:
N39°31.UVW ' W76°10.XYZ '
Doesn't look right, you say?
Well it is!! Okay, so now what do you do with these seemingly incorrect coordinates??
This is where the teamwork attribute kicks in. You need to develop a symbiotic relationship with a geocacher near the indicated area, then provide these coordinates to your new friend so they can find the final for "Twin City Too" (GC800DP) at their end. Then they can return the favor by solving the puzzle at the virtual stage of that cache and passing the information along so you can find the final for this cache. Retrieval may be a bit challenging for those of shorter stature (like me), but not impossible.
Thanks to my East Coast partners, oboegary & delaware hiker, for their support of this bi-coastal adventure. Thanks also to Squarehead and S A M who created the original Aberdeen caches that inspired these two.
