THERE IS NO NEED TO CLIMB ON, DEFACE OR TAMPER WITH THE STRUCTURE OR DO ANY CLIMBING TO FIND THE CACHE!
This is a lovely place for a walk, a picnic or playtime. Tranquil bushland just a few minutes from the township of Churchill with a walking track along Eel Hole Creek.
Fish off one of the five fishing platforms which are located around the lake and stocked with trout each school holidays. A popular spot with birdwatchers and dog walkers.
At the south end of the lake, are the remains of an original homestead, known as Hare's Farmhouse with an adjacent Koori Garden with plants that the local Gunaikurnai clan have used for thousands of years.

There are two seperate noticeboards nearby: One details a range of plants used by the local Gunai People and the other provides a detailed history of the Farmhouse with its associated underground tanks and includes quite a number of photographs.
Both are well worth a look.
