Please join us for our annual Christmas Cookies, Crafts, and Candles event on Saturday, December 8th from 4 PM until 9 PM.
There are some things which made the time leading up to Christmas special to me growing up in Germany (and no, it did not include spending time at the mall) It did include baking special cookies, the smell of candles and pine, and working on craft projects.
The Feuerzangenbowle (a rum-soaked sugar-loaf is set on fire and drips into mulled hot wine -we drink the result), although typical, was not part of my upbringing, but has been introduced to this event at its first installment by Cura.
We will have a variety of crafts for every difficulty level, cookies, Feuerzangenbowle, and non-alcohlic beverages. Since the event is early this year, we might not have our tree up yet (the needles would be too dry by Christmas to make the use of real candles safe) But it will be festive with plenty of candles.
You are welcome to bring your favorite Christmas cookies or snack to share (BYOB)
Trading or showing off of little discs, round or otherwise shaped, is encouraged.
Have an ugly sweater? Wear it!
If everybody is willing to chip in we'll order pizza (please indicate your preference in your "will attend" log)
Of course, cachers of all faiths are welcome!
