Today we voted in the mid-term elections. We hope that the people we elect will serve our country well. When we hear the results, some of us will be happy and some will not. But as a starry-eyed voter, I hope that we can look past our differences and come together to solve our nation's problems and appreciate its opportunities.
I came to Dorwart Park today after voting to stretch my legs, splash in puddles, and get away from the voting hub-bub. I also needed to check on my Show Me the Stars cache that had been flagged as needing maintenance. I was prepared to replace its star, but it only needed a log replacement. So I had a star and had looked at locations to place it. This is a little bit off the trail but not much. It will be harder to get to in the summer, but for now, it has fairly easy access. Its level is kid-friendly.
Park is daylight access only. Use parking area. Do not park on Farmingdale Road. There is a bridge coming in from the east sort of from behind Wegman's. However, today with the rain, it is absolutely not passable. The Little Conestoga is over-flowing and running fast. See picnic table image.
Congratulations to Gnomey Yo on the FTF.
