It seems like the 1980s are making a comeback. This year, the Wintergarden caches pay tribute to some of the trends that should stay masked by the filter of nostalgia.
Cabbage Patch Kids were their own fad, but Garbage Pail Kids were there for every brother who was tired of the smiling little yarn-haired dolls. Because of course you'll send little Johnny off to school with Cannibal Stu or or Paul Bunion notebooks in his Trapper Keeper.
The B.G. Parks mandate for the geocaches at Wintergarden Preserve is to bring people here to visit our wonderful city resource, keep the social trails to a minimum, and to provide opportunities for families to interact with nature. Caches are replaced every October(ish). This year, in an effort to minimize wandering, most of the containers are attached to something. Please do not tighten any zip ties; they are loose to protect live vegetation and to allow more space to access the cache container.
