This cache is a tribute to gridge98 and is part of the Wandering Heroes series. It is located on the Tailem Bend to Karoonda Road, a good bitumen road with a wide mallee vegetation corridor.
gridge98 is known for his D5 puzzles, and "guess what I am thinking" ..... additionally he enjoys finding high terrain caches
gridge98 has also recently found well over 800 caches in one day, in one car with 2 other cachers (one drove, one stamped and one grabbed caches). What an impressive effort, and currently sets a new record in Australia for the highest number of finds in 1 day - no leap-frogging for this cacher.
I met Connor at an event I was hosting back in February 2018 when he made his move to SA from Tassie. I have since regularly seen gridge98 at other events and we have on a handful of occasions cached together - always a good day. He is young, enthusiastic, and keen to contribute positively to the geocaching community.
PLEASE NOTE: this cache is a small silver bison tube (as Connor does like this style of cache); it is also located EXTREMELY high up in the tree (Connor likes to climb trees and ladders).
Take your own pen/stamp as there is no writing implement available in the cache.
Only attempt this cache after you have performed your own risk assessment. This cache could potentially be very dangerous to find, so make sure you have someone to steady the ladder, and that your attire/footwear is suitable to climb the tree (after climbing the ladder). Oh, you'll also need something longer than Freddo's ladder!
Additionally, be careful of cars and snakes in summer.
