We were out exploring the Kuaokala hunting area and ended up wandering to this spot. It was a fine stroll although mostly downhill getting there. Once there we sat on some rocks, ate lunch and enjoyed the view. We did encounter a few obstacles including hot steaming cow pies that looked like they came from a T-Rex and a humongus longhorn that was probably the source of said pie. Coming back there was little shade and did I mention uphill? Not bad really. Good thing we started early but it was HOT.
Now there are some things you really should know:

- Area open for bird hunting weekends, Nov - Jan. Avoid area on weekends during this time or wear an orange vest
- Stay off the restricted Air Force Road.
- Bring sunscreen and lots of water.
- Start early or late to avoid the heat.
- Take some time to sit and enjoy.
- Watch out for bovine!
