Welcome to the Center of the Solar System on the "Planet Trek Dane County!"
Accessible via a short walk, a bike ride of a distance of your choosing, or by boat (there is a municipal dock close to GZ).
Bring your writing utensil.
Difficulty rating reflects the high muggle activity in this area, not the difficultly of the hide.
ACCESS NOTES: Although there is a road adjacent to this cache there is nowhere to stop or pull over. There is a parking ramp adjacent, if you're fast you can get in and out for free within the complimentary parking grace period. If you are approaching on foot from the Capital Square area the easiest way down to lake level is one of the public stairs on the North and South ends of Monona Terrace. The north end stair also has a pedestrian and bike elevator. Watch for the signs pointing to the stairs and elevator. If you are biking just follow the Capital City Bike trail to GZ.
Geocaching is only allowed in general parklands in the City of Madison. It is prohibited at the following locations: Forest Hill Cemetery, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, all City of Madison conservations parks, all City of Madison golf courses and all areas with identified Indian Mounds. All geocachers will be respectful of all public parkland. No digging or penetration of ground surface will be permitted. Trees, scrubs and plants will not be disturbed or altered at any time.
