This cache is placed within Bond Lake Park located on Lower Mountain Road in Sanborn, NY. To start your hike, park in the lot near N43º 10.902 W078º 54.776, begin at the sign with the map of the trails.
Bond Lake Park has 8 different lakes and 13 miles of trails used for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. During the spring and fall months, migrating waterfowl use the lakes. The surrounding fields and brush land support a variety of birds, butterflies and wildflowers. From mid-April thru mid-May this area has an abundance of spring woodland wildflowers. There are also apple, pear, peach and plum orchards in the park. Be sure to check out the map at the start of the trail before your hike. There’s a lot to see.
**Please note that the park shares boundaries with the Tuscarora Indian Reservation.**
