Geocache Description:

Park at Savannah Rapids Pavilion N33° 33.009 / W82° 82.00.716. Hours are 8:30am-8:30pm. Dirt trail with light gravel provides an easy bike ride to the cache.

The Augusta Canal was constructed in 1845 and enlarged in 1875. It is one of the most intact canal systems in the United States. Congress designated The Augusta Canal as a National Heritage Area, one of only sixteen National Heritage Areas in the U.S.

Runners, walkers and mountain bikers frequently use the Augusta Canal's trail and you get a great view of the Savannah River. I recommend riding a mountain bike if you are in a rush to find, hence the name of the cache. Make sure you are discreet in finding the cache, this is a very active trail.

Original Contents:
2-Water Guns, Silly Putty, Scooby-Doo Stickers, Fish Magnet, Chick-Fil-A Cow, Dog Key Chain, Deck of Cards, American Flag, Tape Measure, Disposable Camera, Logbook, Pencil & Pen. I think that's it.

Please be sure to Take your picture and log your name in the logbook...if you write down the frame number from the camera and an email address...I will send you a picture when film is processed.
