Welcome to Ballantyne Square, the original home to the public art piece "OnDo".
OnDo depicts noodles being pulled from roadworks rubble - a point lost on some people who complained to the council about the orange temporary barriers being around the sculpture, not realising that they were part of the artwork.
The sculpture is by Auckland artist Seung Yul Oh and was orginally installed in 2015 before being placed in storage. After repairs the scuplture got put back only for deadbeat losers to vandalise it again.
Pop across and look for this cache. It is tucked away in one of the trees at the edge of the park - there is no need to go on to any private property. The cache is a bison tube camoed into something slightly bigger. Please replace as found. You will need to bring your own pen for this one and there is no room for TBs or swaps sorry.
The sculpture is hopefully away from the haters at the corner of Balmoral Road and Dominion Road so feel free to pop by for a look.
