It started so slowly with her asking if I’d help “fold a sheet”? The boys saying “CC can take us to swim —mom you can meet us when you feel better”. WAY back in 2005 my sister & I were not getting along. Didn’t matter that we were over the age of 40 OR that she had been recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer OR that 8 years prior I had been a surrogate for her & her husband & given her Twin boys!! The mind is powerful! We are 14 months apart in age & have always just been @frick-n-frack”.... then it changed. She was THE most logical person I’ve ever known but logic no longer concerned her. My parents bought this condo in 2006 knowing my sister would bring her (our) twin boys to the water park while I was there going to Pharmacy school at the UF distance campus site for 4 years. It all started easy enough- her asking me “ to help fold a bunch of sheets”. Which led to the boys asking if CC could take them to the park & she could meet us when she felt better.” How does she say “No” to that?
By 2010 I attended all her appointments at Moffitt, she got her chemo or a reduced quantity every week to just stay ahead of the cancer that was out of control. She attended her 30th class reunion in September 2010 and was The Belle Of The Ball! Radiant is how everyone described her! She was gone a month later. My parents spent a lot of $$ to find a place my sister & I would both show up at, they will tell anyone who asks—- it was a Pricekess price@ because of all that it solved. Today is 8 years later since she passed & I spent the weekend with OUR boys here again at Reunion! Things change-the boys are 17!! My parents sold the condo. Thank god one of my Best friends & I we’re able to take it off their hands. They were great, had better offers, BUT, wanted it to remain with us! The people who that condo Still mattered SO much to!!
Then in 2013 I found Geo Caching -so I MUST leave a simple one here this weekend. I’ll be leaving more.
