Rustynails Tribute Cache
By far, Huron's most prolific and dare I say, notorious cacher is the famed Rustynails! This cache is placed in recognition not only for his many thousands of finds, but his numerous caches placed in the Huron area. I had the pleasure of caching with Rustynails a few years back in the Twin Cities where he showed me some extra cool locations, especially my 300th cache, The Sword In The Stone (GC27N0W).
This cache is placed at a residence and with full permission of the owner (me!). If the coords are off a bit it should become obvious when you get close (just look for the rusty nails). It should be winter friendly but please stay outside the fence. No need for climbing or crawling. If muggles are present just pretend to admire the beautiful pine tree nearby. Best parking would be on 15th street and approach from the south. Please be sure to replace the cache exactly as you found it. To replace, just do the exact opposite of what you did to find it. There is room for the log and pencil and a few swag items. No totts are needed but you will need both hands to replace it.
I'm giving this a terrain of 1.5 since it's easy to find. But the difficulty is a 2 since you might have to think a bit. Have fun with this one. Always keep your tetanus shot up to date because rusty nails can be sharp. And don't worry, the bird poop is fake.
