This little fellow is located within short walking distance of the town centre. It is accessible to all, and provides a high point from which to view the town.
You are now at the site of the Arrowtown War Memorial, along with a German made 1903 75mm Turkish Field Gun, one of 558 delivered to Turkey between 1903 and 1907 by the German munitions company FRIEDRICH KRUPP at the Essen factory. Partially destroyed, the gun was captured in the Middle East between March 1917 and September 1918.
This is also a great spot to sit and rest for a short time - and you may need it. The cache itself should be easy enough to find but the Difficulty rating is more related to signing the log, and you do need to sign the log to claim the find. Please replace the log and close the log container as you found it. This will give other finders the same experience.
