Geocache Description:

Salamonie Reservoir Trail Cache By Indy Diver

This cache is located on the Lakeview Trail. This hike should take you on a nice easy short loop which is part of the larger trail. Enjoy and have fun. Do as much or as little of the trail you want. If you plan on doing this cache and the one on the north west end of the trail bring lots of water and some food for the hike.

(Directions) From State Road 9 or I-69 turn West on State Road 124  Go 1/2 mile from SR9 and turn right (North) and follow it to the staggered cross roads and turn Left (West) Follow this road a short distance to the Parking area. The trailhead sign is off the South West side of the parking area. This hike is about 3/4 of a mile long to the cache. There are several nice vistas along the trail.

The cache container is a Green Ammo Box with a Geocaching label on the side. It contains a Log Book, Pencil and Pen. This cache has my usual kind of  stuff in the cache.

Enjoy the hike in to the cache and take your time. This trail is worth looking around while hiking and maybe take a few pictures. If you get a picture of something interesting how about posting it here. I would like to see them. The entire trail is a large 16 mile loop. This combines two separate trails.  The Lake View Trail and the Boundary Trail. The 2 make up most of the 22 mile  Salamonie Snowmobile Trail. The trails also have the Hiking Designation.

Cache On!
