The information can easily be obtained. The Franklin County Fire and Police system use to be on a low band system, being in the 30 mHz range. Now, they operate in the UHF (Ultra High Frequency) band. There are several UHF frequencies assigned to this network, however two are their main frequencies. One being for the Fire Departments and the other, for the Police Departments. Once you know these two frequencies, you will use the suffix of the frequency, meaning the numbers to the right of the decimal point in the frequency information, to figure this out:

What is the Fire Departments frequency (Simulcast 1). Take the suffix number and add 355 to it to get ABC

What is the Police Departments frequency (Simulcast 2) Take the suffix number and subtract 124 to it to get DEF
Please keep in mind that when you are reasearching these frequencies, they can show up 4,5,6,7 numbers after the decimal point. A frequency can indeed have that many numbers. That would be a discussion for another time. It is usually not that way when you are looking them up and programming them into a “common radio scanner”as it can only can go to the suffix side, usually 4 numbers, when programming a frequency, in these radio scanners. When you enter a frequency of 4-6 digets, it would be when commercial radio users, police, fire and other personnal have their actual two radios on the exact frequency and you would be most likely a radio technician, so to speak.
