Geocache Description:


Have you heard the story of the woman who was known as La Rosa De Guadalupe? It all begins in our own town of Concord. This lovely woman was a flamenco dancer in her time in the early 1900's which is where she got her famous name from. She lived in a mansion with her husband with orchards surrounding it just a few miles away. Actually her old home which was built in 1880 still stands today and you can find it at this cache, GC807PE. While she loved her dancing, she also had a love for water. Whether it was swimming in her lavish swimming pool, jumping in lakes while on summer vacation or even getting her feet wet in creeks such as the one nearby Pine Creek. She was actually a frequent visitor of Pine Creek throughout the years and would visit the creek when it was roaring with water during the wet months. Unfortunately, one late evening after one of her dance performances, she decided to end the night with a dip in the nearby Pine Creek. She was by herself in the creek and stumbled upon some large rocks and lost her life. It's said today that the ghost of La Rosa De Guadalupe still roams this creek but mostly at night. Although if you get some weird vibes while walking this quiet trail, it could be her behind you making sure you get across this trail safely. Her spirit lives on!
