Large wetlands support agriculture. WWT Steart Marshes works with local farmers. The interaction of farming and wildlife can be seen along this walk.
From the higher path you may also see and hear the wading birds, such as the Redshank, using the muddy banks of the River Parrett as the tide retreats.
