Geocache Description:

Shelton was once the Christmas Tree capital of the world. Perhaps it still is. This was a community built on logging, dependent on the rails its people laid to move logs from the woods to the shore. It's the core of Mason County. Let's go caching. The photo "This tree was born in 1289" was uploaded by Panoramio user L-Contrera

The details about the daylong sunrise-to-sunset cache machine (start time 7:30 a.m. on December 29) are in this forum discussion, but the official event is this after-machine dinner.

Dinner will be at Sister's Restaurant, 16 W. Railroad Ave., Shelton (N 47° 12.786 W 123° 06.012). Be there at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018. It should run about two hours.

Be sure to put this on your watch list now, so you'll be the first to know about changes and updates as the big day approaches!

A "will attend" note here will be greatly appreciated in order to help plan dinner arrangements
